Photography
I take photographs. I mean, everyone does, but I spend more money on unnecessary lenses and longer faffing about with bulky gear than most, which means I count as a 'photographer' on some level. Plus I sometimes get commissioned and paid, but that sounds like showing off.
Pre-pandemic, I was lucky enough to travel a lot and most of my shots are taken on my various jaunts around the place. Here, for example, is a commission I did for Lonely Planet in 2015.
I am a pretty active scuba diver having dived in places including the Lakhshadweep and Andaman Islands (India), Faroe Islands, Gozo, El Hierro, South Africa, Norway, Egypt, Scotland, the Great Barrier Reef, Tasmania, Cyprus and Ireland, and since 2012 I have been taking photographs underwater, meaning even more bulky and expensive gear.
My photographs both underwater and on land have been published in The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, Diver Magazine, Spear's Magazine, Easyjet Magazine, Lonely Planet and more.
Below is a limited portfolio of my snaps. If anyone is interested, I use Nikon cameras with Nikon and Tokina lenses and Ikelite underwater gear.
If you want to discuss using some of my photos, drop me a line here, or buy them through my 500px profile.
